PhD Courses

To enrol for a PhD course students must have a Master’s degree. A PhD leads to executive careers in public institutions and private enterprises requiring a level of 8 years of post-baccalauréat studies, as well as application for lecturer positions in higher education.

PhD students will carry out their research work in one of UPPA’s 24 research units accredited by the Ministry, the CNRS, the INRA or the Inria.

The College of Doctoral Schools

This College of Doctoral Schools offers a joint training course to the university’s Ph.D. students, including language courses and career access programmes, as well as organising major events such as the conferring ceremonies for our UPPA Ph.D. graduates and for Honorary Doctorate degrees awarded by the university.
