Description

During this course, you will:

  •  become familiar with the constituent elements of certain (international) crimes, the criteria of jurisdiction of national criminal courts (in particular, French) and the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court
  • discover the history of international criminal justice, international crimes and the prosecution (at two levels) of these crimes

Objectives

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • better understand the issues of criminal law at the international level and the specificities (substantive and procedural) of international crimes
  • go further, if you wish, by comparing the criteria of jurisdiction of the criminal courts of other States of your interest, or by analyzing the modalities of prosecution of transnational crimes in order to reflect on the relevance of prosecutions on a global scale
