Student capacity
Objectives
This training leads to the obtaining of a double Bachelor's degree, the students having acquired over the course of their three years of study the essential knowledge and methods in Law, Economics and Management. Students receive equal teaching in Law and Economics and Management in all the fundamental subjects of these disciplines, in addition to teaching of a multidisciplinary nature, intended to strengthen their general culture and their ability to deal with complex issues.
International education
Internationally-oriented training
International dimension
The training is provided in French and English. The amount of courses in English increases over the years of study (25% in year 1, 50% in year 2 and 100% in year 3, with a semester of mobility in a foreign university partner of the UPPA). Students acquire an excellent level of oral and written English and are ready, if they wish, to continue their studies in courses taught in English or abroad (LLM for example) or consider an international professional experience. A significant volume of reinforced English courses is therefore offered, as well as the teaching of other languages.
Organisation
Universal adjustments
All the elements of success and educational innovation are integrated to best support students. While experiencing “classic” university life through a few shared courses - in the large lecture halls and alongside Law or Economics Management students - the double degree students nevertheless form an autonomous class, with a small number (50 students per year maximum, divided into two groups of 25 for in-depth tutorials), very supervised and constantly monitored by the reference teachers.
They benefit from all the programs deployed by the UPPA for the success and support of students (SPACE, Pep's, for example) and from an educational innovation program as part of the IREKIA project: teaching by projects and case studies in collaboration with socio-economic actors (real-life situations via the “International” FabLab).
The international FabLab is a training incubator based on :
- Law Clinic (International Humanitarian, European Law, International Law)
- Learning center for languages (implementation of new language teaching methods)
- International project-based teaching in economics and management. Provision of case studies on different international themes (Sectors concerned: Transport & Logistics, Import/Export, Entrepreneurship, International Economy, Mobility, Circular economy, etc.)

Further studies
The DEGI double degree is built on a dynamic of progressive specialization, which leads to offering a specialization in Law and a specialization in International Economics or International Management in the last semester of the third year.
Students choose
- In law, a first specialization: International Business Law or International Criminal Justice and Humanitarian Aid
- In economics or management, a second specialization: International Economics or International Management.
At the end of the bachelor's degree program, students can naturally continue on to master's degree programs in these four specializations, either at UPPA (in a five-year program), where all of these master's degree programs are offered, or at other French or foreign universities.
However, it should be noted that, as students have a double bachelor's degree in Law and Economics and Management, they can also pursue other master's degrees in law, economics, or management, not to mention access to various competitive examinations in the relevant sectors.
