Objectives
- To become familiar with the issues raised by the second wave of globalization, and with measures of intra- and inter-industry trade;
- To introduce you to the gravity model, traditional trade theories, and the "new trade theory";
- To help you better understand contemporary trade patterns, current policy debates on free trade, regionalism, protectionism, and the impact of trade on well-being and inequality;
- To work with different indices to measure the characteristics of trade patterns.
