Selection method
Except for Medieval Latin, no pre-requisites are required since the courses are organised in three levels (initiation/false beginner, intermediate and advanced) for Literary Arabic, Ancient Greek, Biblical Hebrew and Latin, in two levels (initiation/false beginner and intermediate) for Sanskrit and Syriac. The Medieval Latin course assumes a basic knowledge of Classical Latin so as not to have to go back to certain basic principles of Latin, which does not mean that there is no need to revise grammar if necessary.
