Dates : July 1st to July 25th 2024 (4 weeks)
Location: University of Pau and Pays de l'Adour (UPPA) - Pau Campus
Target audience: These courses are open to any public (minimum age 18). Students are divided into groups according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. They are open to students of all levels
Certificate / diploma issued: A University Diploma can be obtained at the end of the course.
Language of instruction : French
Fees : 850€ (60 hours of lessons plus activities and support in the afternoons)
Organizing structure: For more than 40 years, the Institute of French Studies for Foreign Students (IEFE) of the University of Pau and Pays de l'Adour has welcomed many students from all over the world to take language courses. The courses are specially designed for foreign learners and are based on the most innovative methodologies.
Program
In a nutshell :
You wish to have an experience which combines an intensive French course, a holiday all while discovering France? This course is made for you!
In the morning, you will learn French with a specialized university teacher in French as a Foreign Language. In the afternoon, you will visit and discover one of the most beautiful regions of France, go to the beach or the mountains, play sports, take surf lessons with the Uhaina Surf School (June course in Bayonne). You will stroll through the streets of the old town of Bayonne or Pau with its many shops, bars, cafes and lively nightlife.
This is a 60-hour intensive French course for a foreign audience in total immersion. The courses are designed for learners of all levels; they are given in the University's premises, located on the campus, near the historic heart of the city of Pau. The teachers are state-qualified and work at UPPA. They are professionals in the field of French as a Foreign Language and their teaching is based on an action-oriented perspective.
Courses are part of an intensive 60-hour course ; 3 hours per day from Monday to Friday from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. They follow the European reference framework for languages and will focus on written and oral comprehension and on written and oral production. Learning will take place through different media and activities: videos, texts, audio documents, games, debates, films, etc. Some homework may occasionally be required in the afternoons. Cultural and sports activities will be proposed in the afternoons.
