The objective of this course is to establish a state of the art of polymer-based nanocomposites.

After defining nanocomposites, we review the main processing methods for these materials, focusing on the specific issues and challenges they raise.

We then study the specific properties of nanocomposites, with a particular focus on their relationship with the nanoscale of the fillers. We end up with studying several applications.

The teaching strategies of this course include traditional course and several case studies.
