Description

Based on Lectures and tutorials face-to-face. 

  1. Reactivity between solids. Diffusion in solids. Use of diagrams to build an elaboration strategy, 
  2. Methods to synthesize polycrystalline materials, 
  3. Single crystals, 
  4. Thin films.

This theoretical class will be complemented by a hands-on training in the lab in another course unit.

Objectifs

At the end of this course, you will be able to : 

  • Choose the most well-adapted method to synthesize a targeted inorganic material, 
  • Build a synthesis strategy for a given family of materials, taking into account their chemistry and morphology.
